Board Approves Teacher Contract

Ypsilanti, MI – The Ypsilanti School Board has approved a new contract with the district's teachers.
Last night's unanimous vote puts a contract in place from August 30th of this year through August 31st of 2007.
Ypsilanti Education Association President Kelly Powers says teachers have already given their overwhelming approval to the new contract, and she says morale is high, as it's the first time in a long time that teachers will be able to go into summer break knowing they have a contract in place.
