Proposal Request Delayed; Re-Zoning Still Alive

Ann Arbor, MI – Ann Arbor's Downtown Development Authority has been granted more time to submit requests for proposals for the development of two parking lots. City council unanimously approved the delays Monday night.
D-D-A Director Susan Pollay says the request for proposals for the First and Washington site is complete and will be shown to council next month. Pollay says the Kline lot request for proposals will not be drafted until ongoing soil and economic studies are completed.

Lost Lead Forces Genyk, EMU to Change Approach

Ypsilanti –

Coming off of two straight agonizing losses before last Saturday's game against Ball State, Eastern Michigan coach Jeff Genyk was worried his team starting slowly against the Cardinals.

Midway through the game, his team led 22-0.

"I was very proud of how our players came out after heartbreaking losses to Miami (Ohio) and Western Michigan," Genyk said. "Those players could have come out and not played hard. We came out very hard."

Residents of old "Y" Will Stay Elsewhere for Now

Ann Arbor, MI – A broken pipe at the old Y-M-C-A building in Ann Arbor has led to more than 80 residents being put up in a motel at city expense. Thursday night, Ann Arbor's city council committed to spending more than 150-thousand dollars on the situation through the end of this year.
