Ypsi Schools Hire New Director

Ypsilanti, MI – The Ypsilanti School Board has hired Richard Weigel as the district's new director of educational services.
Weigel replaces Noni Miller, who left the district earlier this summer to take a similar post in Holly.
Weigel has a masters degree from Eastern Michigan University, and is currently a doctoral degree candidate.

Eagles Running Game Picture Cloudy

Ypsilanti – It's no surprise that, during the first week of Eastern Michigan football camp, competition for the starting running back job is wide open.

No one expected it to be this wide open, though.

A total of six backs are seeing regular work between the first- and second-string offensive units. That group includes three true freshmen.

Washtenaw County, MI – Washtenaw County's sheriff says a big step was taken Wednesday night in bringing a resolution to a plan to change the contract the county has with local goverments to provide law enforcement.
