Washtenaw County, MI – Washtenaw County and one of the three townships locked in a dispute over the cost of police services are headed to mediation. Augusta Township and the county have agreed to mediation, while Ypsilanti and Salem townships countered the mediation offer with a settlement proposal. County commissioners voted nine to one Wednesday night against the settlement offer, saying it was only a small improvement from the townships' original offer.
Ann Arbor, MI – A plan to in-fill a portion of a parking lot in northwest Ann Arbor with new shops and office space has been approved by Ann Arbor's city council, despite objections from current tenants of the Plymouth Mall.
