Guitarist Jake Reichbart Remembers Pianist-Restauranteur Rick Burgess

Ypsilanti, MI – On Monday, March 2nd, Ann Arbor lost a great jazz spirit in pianist Rick Burgess, who opened The Del Rio restaurant and began the Sunday jam sessions in 1969. Later, Rick opened The Earle, which maintains its jazz policy to this day. Guitarist Jake Reichbart played at the Del Rio jam sessions and now performs at The Earle. He shared the Rick Burgess jazz story with Linda Yohn Thursday morning on WEMU.
