Issues of the Environment

Ypsilanti, MI – There's been a lot of rain in Washtenaw County in the past month, and the landscape is green, but earlier this summer, there were extended hot and dry periods, and the scenery was decidedly brown.

"Shakey Jake" Dead at 82

Ann Arbor, MI – Ann Arbor's best-known street icon has passed away.
"Shakey Jake" Woods died in his sleep Sunday night. He was 82.
Jake was a fixture around Ann Arbor since the 1970's. He was known for wearing colorful suits, carrying a guitar he seldom played, and greeting people with the phrase "movin' on."
Funeral services for Jake Woods are still pending as of this morning.

Road Commission Troubles Continue
