Ann Arbor District Library Receives Top Rating From Library Journal

Ann Arbor District Library

Technology associated with libraries is constantly changing, but  one thing remains constant: Ann Arbor District Library ranks among the best library systems in the country.

For the seventh straight year, the library system has earned a five-star ranking in the Library Journal's yearly Index of Public Library Services.

Ann Arbor District Library Director Josie Parker says the library is not afraid to change,  "and to meet the challenges that the disruption of technologies brought to public libraries in a positive way, in order to serve the public."

Parker says the community deserves the credit for the library system's continued national recognition.

She says per-capita circulation is the highest of any library in the country with a budget of $9 million or more.
