The Ann Arbor's school board will meet today, and is expected to vote on an issue regarding bus transportation.

The board is considering allowing students who currently live within a mile and a half away from school to use a school bus.  As of now, they are not permitted to do so to allow others who live further to use the transportation.

School board secretary Andy Thomas explains why they are considering the change.

"What we have found is that a number of buses are routinely not full and in fact maybe even half full or less."

Schools of choice students would also be allowed to use the school buses with the change.
