Ann Arbor Public Schools got a big gift from the Ann Arbor Educational Foundation.
The district received $350,000 for seven middle school STEAM labs.
Those are hands-on experience labs that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
Linh Song is the executive director of the Educational Foundation and says they want to offer students STEAM programs before they get to high school. They hope the labs motivate girls and minorities to enter the STEAM field later in life.
