Ann Arbor Public Schools welcomes the community to comment on their budget Wednesday night.
The board will get the first briefing on the $182 million general fund budget. It addresses a projected shortfall of nearly $11.5 million .
Over half of that amount is reached by a compensation freeze and savings from replacing retiring teachers with new hires. The board will also vote on outsourcing custodial work. That move will save an additional $1.8 million.
The budget proposal can be found here.
