Board Approves Pay Raises

By Andrew Cluley

Ann Arbor, MI – Ann Arbor school district custodial and maintenance staff will be getting a pay raise this year.
Wednesday night, the school board unanimously approved an agreement which calls for a one percent pay raise now, and another one percent increase in January.
171 custodial and maintenance workers are represented by AFSCME. Superintendent Todd Roberts says negotiations are continuing with the district's secretaries and para-professionals, whose contracts expired over the summer.
