Budget Woes Continue for EMU

Ypsilanti, MI – The new chair of the state house higher education committee last week said he supports Governor Granholm's goal of doubling the number of college graduates in Michigan within ten years.
However, republican Lorence Wenke says the state's public colleges and universities could face further reductions in state aid as lawmakers try to reduce spending.
Eastern Michigan University has already cut its budget by millions of dollars.
