Call-In On Local Election Issues This Friday

Ypsilanti, MI – WEMU will air a special program and call-in focusing on local education issues Friday, June 4, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., pre-empting the last hour of NPR's Morning Edition. Hosted by Morning Edition local host, David Fair, the program begins with an overview, followed by Andrew Cluley's report on the Ypsilanti school board election. Next is a summary of school board and ballot issues in the outlying districts, from News Director, Clark Smith, followed by Bob Eccles' report on the Ann Arbor school board election. Brian Nemerovski's in-depth report on the Ann Arbor bond and sinking fund millage proposal will conclude the first half-hour of the program. At 8:30, the phone lines will be open for Ann Arbor School District voters to call in with questions on the bond/sinking fund issue for special guest, Ann Arbor Schools Superintendent, George Fornero, PhD.
