Wikipedia

Former Vice President Dick Cheney plans to visit Grand Rapids with his cardiologist to discuss Cheney's history of heart problems.

Cheney and cardiologist Jonathan Reiner plan to speak at a luncheon today presented by Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and the Economic Club of Grand Rapids.

Before that, they're scheduled to take part in a roundtable at the Spectrum Health Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center.

Cheney and Reiner co-authored a book "Heart: An American Medical Odyssey."

Cheney's history of heart trouble includes the first of five heart attacks at age 37. He underwent a heart transplant in 2012 at age 71.

Cheney was President Gerald Ford's chief of staff. Ford's hometown was Grand Rapids and the city is home to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
