Ypsilanti, MI – Ypsilanti's city council has approved lean budgets for the current and next fiscal years. The budgets reduce spending on AATA bus service, which may result in service cuts. The budget also includes a 250-thousand dollar energy efficiency revolving loan fund, and 100-thousand dollars for inspecting the Penn Park dam, and studying the structure's future use.
Also Monday night, city council voted to place the city's two downtown development authorities under one operating board. Hear more in this story from WEMU's Bob Eccles.
