Ann Arbor, MI – The future of Ann Arbor's downtown has taken another step forward.
On Monday night, city council approved the downtown development strategies final report implementation plan. Mayor John Hiefjte says city staff and the public will now iron out the specifics of the plan.
Hiefjte says among the top priorities listed in the Calthorpe implementation plan is the overlay zoning areas.
Council also requested creating some form of design guideline procedures to ensure future buildings in the downtown will be attractive.
