The Eagles will start pre-season camp Sunday, but over the last 8 months coach Chris Creighton has grown to appreciate the hard working, blue collar nature of the team.  He thinks they're a real microcosm of Eastern and the community.  Creighton says this attitude led to the grey turf and "The Factory" moniker for Rynearson Stadium, "Let's realize who we are and name it, and become it even more.  And become all that's good with all of that, and our guys have breakfast at the Bomber."

The team has spent time this year in the community reading to kids, participating in Ypsilanti PRIDE day, and other events.  Creighton says being active participants in the community is the right thing to do, and should result in connections to people who will in turn become invested in seeing the team succeed.

If you'd like an early peak at the new, grey turf at "The Factory" You can get tickets online  for the public debut Sunday at 5:30 right before the team's pre-season camp gets underway.

Additionally, Kids will have a chance to hit the field and learn about football from the team at a free clinic on August 16th at noon.
