Eastern Michigan University's Autism Collaborative Center is currently enrolling autistic adults for a social skills program.
It's called the PEERS group and the idea is to improve social skills through a sixteen week program.
Dr. Angela Capuano is the clinical director. She says participants are taught how to have a two-way conversation as well as to enter conversations already in progress. This will help them gain access to more environments and opportunities in life.
Those interested should contact the College of Health and Human Services by December 18th.
