Ann Arbor, MI – In the late 1970's, Ann Arbor officials weren't sure what to do with the city's old fire station. A group of volunteers eventually convinced the city to let them turn it into an interactive museum focused on science and technology.
The Ann Arbor Hands On Museum opened in 1982 with only 25 exhibits. Over the last 25 years, the museum has grown to over 44-thousand square feet of fun and educational opportunities. Click on the audio icon to hear more from WEMU's Andrew Cluely.
