Jerusalem Garden Moving To Old Seva Site

Long time Ann Arbor restaurant Jerusalem Garden is moving later this year to a new larger location.  The restaurant announced Sunday through their Facebook page they will take over the former Seva Restaurant site at 314 East Liberty.

Jerusalem Garden has been on South Fifth Avenue since opening in 1987.  The Facebook post says they've expanded the current site several times over the last two decades but are making the move around the corner to offer more space to improve the experience for everyone.

Seva recently re-opened in the Westgate Plaza on Jackson Avenue, after closing their home for four decades on Liberty.

Like many, I first came to this area when I started school at the University of Michigan, then fell in love with the community and haven’t left. After graduating from U of M in the mid 1990’s I interned at WDET for several years, while also working a variety of jobs in Ann Arbor. Then in 1999 I joined the WEMU news team.
