Absentee Ballot

If you're planning on voting absentee for next Tuesday's Michigan presidential primary election, you should keep some deadlines in mind.

Clerk offices around the state will host special operation hours tomorrow to accommodate absentee voters.  EdGolembiewski is the director of elections for Washtenaw County.

"Saturday is the last time that an absentee ballot application can be submitted for a voter to receive it in the mail. But, voters have until Monday at 4:00 to actually go in person to receive an absentee ballot."

About twenty percent of the voters in Washtenaw County vote absentee.
