NPR President Addresses EMU Grads

By Andrew Cluley

Ypsilanti, MI – National Public Radio President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Klose says college graduates need to seek out and share accurate, non-partisan information to maintain a healthy democracy.
Klose addressed more than 16-hundred graduates yesterday during Eastern Michigan University's winter commencement ceremonies.
Klose says part of the desire and need to get information from around the world stems from the unique fact that all Americans have ancestors who came from another country.
Klose is a former editor and national and foreign correspondent for the Washington Post. He joined NPR in 1998, after serving as President of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
