'Philadelphia' To Bring Laughter To Ann Arbor

The cast of the A2 Civic Theatre's Production of "The Philadelphia Story"

Local, live theater is one of the many benefits of living in Washtenaw County. One local theater production infuses old time music with a classic story designed to make theater goers laugh with their production of "The Philadelphia Story."

Listen as 89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry interviews the director Wendy Wright, and Nick Boyer, one of the stars of the upcoming Ann Arbor Civic Theatre's production of "The Philadelphia Story" May 7- May 10th.

"The Philadelphia Story has been described as:

A willful, self-centered beauty—immortalized by Katherine Hepburn in the film—wreaks havoc on her socialite family when she leaves her husband for another man. A timeless comedy of manners—good and bad. The Philadelphia Story is a classic tale that lampoons high-society and leaves the audience wanting more.
