The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is among the agencies participating in the latest "Click it or ticket" campaign, which aims to reduce traffic deaths and injuries through increased use of seat belts.

The Sheriff's Office, along with U-of-M and Pittsfield Township Departments of Public Safety, will spend over 200 hours specifically targeting seat belt use now through Memorial Day weekend.

Not wearing a seat belt is punishable by a $65 fine.
