Sidewalk Compromise

By Andrew Cluley

Ann Arbor, MI – Ann Arbor's city council has given final approval to build sidewalks on the west side of Easy Street in southeast Ann Arbor.
Council confirmed the assessment roll Monday night and agreed to pay half the cost of the 40-thousand dollar project.
A plan to put sidewalks on both sides of the street was rejected last year following complaints from residents.
Construction on the sidewalks should take place this summer as part of the city's ongoing street and water main replacement project.
