Skyline Could Be 9th Graders Only

By Andrew Cluley

Ann Arbor, MI – When Ann Arbor Skyline High School opens in the fall of 2008, it should only have ninth grade students. That's the recommendation from Superintendent Todd Roberts, after only about 170 current eighth graders expressed interest in spending one year at Huron or Pioneer high schools, then moving to the new school.
School board President Karen Cross says she's not surprised students weren't eager to make the switch, despite the crowded conditions which led to the new school in the first place.
THe board is expected to take a final vote on the recommendations in two weeks.
