Stop And Play A Piano In The Street, Piano's 'Round Town In Depot Town

Piano's 'Round Town

Don't be surprised if you hear pianos being played around the city of Ypsilanti during the next few weeks.  You'll see them where you least expect it.

Six full size pianos have been placed outside of businesses in Depot Town and downtown Ypsilanti - it's all part of the Piano's 'Round Town event that will take place until October 6th.

Korin Hancherlian-Amos is organizing the event, and says people who know how to play the piano but don't have one will sit down and give impromptu mini concerts.

But even if you've never touched a piano in your life, you're encouraged to try one out.  The purpose of the activity is to get more people playing music even if it's just for a short period of time.
