The 6th annual Success by 6 Great Start Collaborative "Touch a Truck" event rolls into Ypsilanti Saturday.

Children and their families will have the chance to get up close and personal with more than 35 vehicles from organizations like the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, Ypsilanti District Library, Huron Valley Ambulance and Recycle Ann Arbor.

"We know that this is a favorite event of young children and their families in Washtenaw County," says Margy Long, Director of the Success by 6 Great Start Collaborative, "and we're thrilled that this year we will have even more trucks and organizations participating than ever."

In addition to the trucks. local businesses and non-profits will be on hand to offer information about preschool opportunities, childcare, dental services and a variety of other family services.

"Touch a Truck" takes place Saturday, May 10th from 9 a.m. to noon at Ypsilanti Community High School, 2095 Packard Road in Ypsilanti.  Parking is available nearby at Shadford Field.
