UMS Gets 750 Thousand Dollar Grant
By Bob Eccles
Ann Arbor, MI – The University Musical Society in Ann Arbor has received a 750-thousand dollar grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. The grant includes a half-million dollars to be matched two-to-one over a two-year period. The remainder of the grant will be spread out over three years.
UMS President Ken Fisher says the grant will help the organization continue its mission, and plan for its financial future.
UMS was one of only three university-based organizations to be awarded grants this year through the Duke Foundation's leading colleges and university presenters program.
