2013 Dates: Thursday and Friday, May 16 & 17th, 2013 - In beautiful downtown Chicago!
Enjoy a special WEMU donor reception, attend a SOLD OUT live taping of NPR’s oddly informative news quiz, Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me, and enjoy one night, and 2 full days exploring downtown Chicago.
Accommodations, transportation, show tickets, and the reception are all part of the package.
You and your guest will board an early morning chartered touring motor coach (complete with powder room) departing from the EMU convocation center and be transported to downtown Chicago, where you’ll disembark at Hotel 71, located at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue.
Hotel 71 is situated in one of the best downtown Chicago locations, overlooking the Chicago River and the River North District. First class restaurants, pubs, hot dog stands, and art museums are all within walking distance. The famous Magnificent Mile shopping district is located one block east of the hotel. Navy Pier and Lake Michigan are a short walk away.
After spending your day in the city and checking into the hotel, please join us for a special WEMU donor reception at the hotel, after which we’ll stroll (or cab if you choose) the few blocks to the Chase Bank Auditorium to enjoy the show.
We’ll depart Chicago at approximately 5:00pm on Friday, May 17th, which will give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the Windy City for the day and early evening.
