Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor is celebrating 50 years of operations.
To celebrate, over one hundred community leaders attended a luncheon on campus. As part of its plans to continue moving forward, the college will offer more online courses.
WCC Board of Trustees chair Richard Landau also said they will open a new advanced transportation center that will help with new auto industry projects such as autonomous vehicles. Essentially, it's creating a training center for the jobs of tomorrow.
WCC has an annual economic impact of about $373 million in Washtenaw County.
