Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners to Set Budget Priorities for the Next Four Years
Budget priorities for the next four years are to be set tonight when the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners meet.
The Commissioners are set to create a set of strategic priorities and principles to be used in setting the county's future budgets. Commissioner Felicia Brabec says the priorities are likely to focus on human services, building a financial safety net and providing the community public safety services.
Once established and approved, the budget priorities will be given to County Administrator Verna McDaniel to incorporate into her budget proposal. WEMU's Andrew Cluley has this preview of tonight's meeting.
Washtenaw County Administrator Verna McDaniel is expected to share her budget proposal in early October.
