The Eastside Recreation Center was the topic of a community meeting last night in Ypsilanti.
It’s been five years since plans to build the rec center on the Water Street Property began. The project is still nowhere near breaking ground.
Robert Tetens is Director of Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation. He says there are a few options for completing the project.
“We’re looking at everything from scaling the building back, to additional partners, the public private partnership, to fundraising, to whatever we can do to make it work.”
The County Parks and Recreation Department Commission could discuss the future of the Eastside Rec Center at a meeting tonight. It begins at 7 PM in Ann Arbor.
