Nearly 10,000 new jobs could be added to Washtenaw County's economy over the next year.
That's one of several predictions made in the new economic outlook report released by the Washtenaw County Economic Club.
The report was created using data analyzed by several local economists and tries to forecast what will happen in Washtenaw County over the next three years.
Donald Grimes is an economist from the University of Michigan and one of the report's authors.
"Real wages are going up. And unemployment's going down. Job growth is going up. So, it's a pretty favorable outlook."
Grimes says those predictions could change, depending on what actions the Trump Administration takes on issues like tax cuts, immigration, and federal spending.
