Ypsilanti Meals On Wheels Executive Director Marks One Year On Job
Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels Executive Director Alison Foreman's first year on the job was anything but ordinary.
Just four weeks into the job, she faced a government shutdown that threatened to put her program out of business.
Since then, things have gone much more smoothly.
Foreman says they've been able to eliminate a long waiting list, and plan to bring back Friday delivery of a frozen meal for customers to enjoy on Saturday.
If some additional funding can be found, Foreman says they'd like to deliver two meals a day - a hot meal for lunch, and a cold meal for dinner.
