Ypsilanti Schools Get High Marks in Survey

By Andrew Cluley

Ypsilanti, MI – Residents of the Ypsilanti School District have given the schools positive marks in an opinion survey.
School Public Relations Consultant Services gave the school board its report last night, based on a survey conducted in May.
61 percent of the school district parents surveyed gave the district an "A" or "B" grade, with 77 percent giving district teachers those same high marks.
School board president Andy Fanta says he's puzzled that despite the positive results, enrollment declined by more than 300 students this year.
Fanta says the district should also survey parents who've taken their kids out of Ypsilanti schools.
