A state commission will take a hard look at DTE Energy’s past improper shutoffs.  The Michigan Public Service Commission will hold an evidentiary hearing against the company.

DTE Energy says it's committed to reducing greenhouse gas emmissions, but says coal will continue to be an important fuel for energy generation.

President Barack Obama wants carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants cut by 30 percent by 2030.

DTE Energy says 10 percent of the electricity generated for customers in southeast Michigan will come from renewable sources by the end of this year.
