About 200 people attended a candlelight vigil Friday night at the Lakehouse at Eastern Michigan University for Julia Niswender, the EMU junior found dead in her off-campus apartment Tuesday night.  Friends and family took turns speaking about the 23 year-old and what they'll miss most about her. 

Ypsilanti police are investigating Niswender's death as a "possible homicide".  Preliminary autopsy results were inconclusive and more tests will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

EMU Students and friends of Julia Niswender will hold a candle-light vigil in her memory Friday night.  The vigil will take place at the Lakehouse, near the Student Center on the EMU campus.  It's scheduled to start at eight-thirty Friday night, and participants are asked to bring their own candles.  A fund has also been established to help Niswender's family with expenses.  Donations to the Julia Niswender Fund will be accepted Friday night.

Preliminary autopsy results for 23 year-old Julia Niswender are back, but they don't shed much light on how the Eastern Michigan University junior died.  Ypsilanti police say the cause of death is listed as "pending".  Toxicology results will take another two or three weeks.  Investigators say there were no outward signs of trauma to Niswender's body, but there were indications of "possible foul play".  Niswender's body was discovered Tuesday night in her off-campus apartment in the 1000 block of Huron River Drive.  Her death is being treated as a possible homicide.
