Spending 30 years in one job is becoming more rare. 30-years at one place in the broadcasting industry is almost unheard of. Today, Linda Yohn wraps up her three decades at 89.1 WEMU and prepares to write the next chapter in an extraordinary life. Following an on-air tribute, WEMU's Lisa Barry sat down with Linda for a last interview, and a final word, as she moves into retirement.

89.1 WEMU

Moments that connect with the audience as a whole and, in a very real way, with each individual tuning in. As 89.1 WEMU’s David Fair reports, for decades now, Linda Yohn has done exactly that.

We need to raise $220,000 during this drive, and you can make that happen with your gift of support at WEMU.org or 888-299-8910.

If you are searching for fresh new music for 2013, WEMU recommends the new CD “Cuban Crosshatching” by percussionist Arturo Stable.  His 2012 duo disc “Dos Y Mas” with pianist Elio Villafranca was one of the finest recordings of 2012.  Stable continues the path he has forged in his notable career with music of integrity, artistic credibility and exploratory creativity.  We premiered “Cuban Crosshatching” this morning and found that it paired perfe
