A ballot measure aimed at improving access to voting was turned over to the Secretary of State Monday.  Monday was the last day for citizen-initiated proposals to amend the state constitution to turn in their signatures for review by the Bureau of Elections.

Ruth Johnson announces reelection bid for Secretary of State

Ruth Johnson will seek another term as Michigan's Secretary of State.

Johnson made the announcement Monday and kicked off a four-stop campaign tour across the state. She says the Secretary of State's office has become more efficient under her direction, largely because of technological improvements.

A goup hoping to end wolf hunting in Michigan says a law banning out-of-state petition circulators is unconstitutional. It filed a lawsuit Monday in federal court challenging the law.
