Ann Arbor City Council takes up the issue of affordable housing again tonight.  The Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber will take up the issue on Wednesday.  In this week's edition of WEMU's "Civic Matters," we also focus on other civic engagement opportunities on the issues of voting, suicide prevention and protecting and celebrating the Huron River.

By nearly a 2-1 margin on Tuesday, voters in Ypsilanti passed a Water Street debt retirement millage. Approval comes a year after city voters defeated a similar measure by 39 votes.  Ypsilanti Mayor Amanda Edmonds tells WEMU city officials can now begin mapping out a better future.
