The start of construction on the re-building of Ypsilanti's Rutherford pool is so close you can almost hear the sounds of folks enjoying a cool dip on a hot summer day. But as WEMU's Bob Eccles reports, work won't begin until $51,000 is raised.
The "Friends of the Rutherford Pool" have raised $750,ooo to rebuild the public pool used by Ypsilanti residents, but higher than expected costs mean more fundraising needs to be done. Hear more from WEMU's Andrew Cluley.
Ypsilanti city council last night approved an agreement that covers the re-building and operation of the Rutherford Pool. WEMU's Bob Eccles has the story.
