Snowstorm Snarls Travel

While much of southeast Michigan was spared the full punch of a widespread winter storm, at least three inches of snow had fallen in Washtenaw County as of 8pm Wednesday, causing difficult travel throughout the  region.

While county snow plows and salt trucks have been out on the roads since mid-afternoon, the snow has persisted, making for dangerous driving conditions in most areas.  Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies reported numerous accidents and spinouts throughout the day and into the evening, and continue to advise people to stay off the roads if at all possible.
