Join us on April 3 from 6 to 8 PM for local Ann Arborite Jason Kluttz's first-ever exhibition. Jason's show will be on view until April 24th when he hosts a portrait session at the museum starting at 6 pm.

The exhibition will be on display every weekday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Many associate the architecture of the University of Michigan Law Quadrangle with the Renaissance, the Ivy League, or even Hogwarts. While strolling through the Quad, we’ll discuss the buildings from conception to construction and the Law School’s influence on social issues and legal education.

Guided tour led by student docents. Duration: 1.5 hours; 0.5 miles.

*** This walking tour meets at the corner of S. University Avenue and State Street, on the outer northwest corner of the Law Quad. ***

Tour will take place in rain or snow, but will be cancelled for severe weather (notification via email).

Midwest Literary Walk draws visitors from near and far. Originally conceived as an event to both celebrate literature and introduce the Chelsea community to visitors, this single-day event features nationally recognized authors held in public venues, with time to check out downtown between events. This year’s Walk offers attendees the chance to see one of Chelsea’s most iconic venues and experience a play reading at the Purple Rose Theatre, while engaging with the actors and playwrights. Our three visiting authors include Chris La Tray, Carmen Bugan, and Nathan Pyle. Lit Walk is intended to be a celebration of literature, reading, and the Chelsea community; removing barriers between everyday people and fantastic literature and the arts. All events are open to the public with no admittance charge.

The husband and wife duo of Robin and Jenny Bienemann are both singer-songwriters and instrumentalists. By turns hilarious and heartfelt, this cutting-edge acoustic duo melds original and traditional music with an elegant hint of jazz. Robin's wild guitar stylings harken back to the earliest forms of jazz, blues and country guitar. Jenny’s voice and guitar playing evokes comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Ricki Lee Jones. Both write songs that are celebrations of modern life in all of its wonderful, strange and hilarious beauty.
Tamiko May and Austin Kaufmann comprise the creative duo at the heart of Lansing’s own indie folk darlings The Dangling Participles. Their performances feature spirited duets, storied lyrics, soulful harmonies, and vibrant folk-jazz instrumentation, with Austin anchoring the pair on guitar and Tamiko adding cornet and ukulele. Songwriters both, they draw deep from the wells of literature, art, family, and relationships to pen songs evoking the breadth of human experience.
