Ypsilanti, MI – Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the mother of an infant found dead near an Ypsilanti Township motel Monday night. Police say the manager of the Manor Motel on East Michigan Avenue found the infant on the ground behind the motel. Deputies say the body may have been there for several days. Officers are checking motel records and neighboring residences for leads. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Sheriff's tipline at 734-973-7711, or 1-800-SPEAK UP.

Ann Arbor, MI – For the third time, Ann Arbor's city council has approved a resolution calling for the end to U-S military action in Iraq. On the fourth anniversay of the war's start, council voted eight to two Monday night asking for a bi-partisan effort to bring the troops home. Those casting the 'no' votes say it's an issue that federal lawmakers need to address, not city council.
