Tribute to a Local Jazz Great

Ypsilanti, MI – Sunday, March 13th, Ann Arbor Public School teacher and trumpeter will receive the Southeastern Michigan Jazz Association's annual "Ron Brooks Award" for his lifetime contributions to jazz. One of Louis Smith's star students is drummer Sean Dobbins, now the director of the Detroit Symphony Youth Civic Jazz Orchestra. Sean Dobbins joined Linda Yohn to reflect on his life and music.
