Ann Arbor residents will get a chance to talk to the city's police chief tonight to discuss any concerns about crime in the city.

Ann Arbor Police Chief Jim Baird will be at tonight's northeast Ann Arbor neighborhood watch meeting at ClaugeMiddle Schoolto update residents about what's going on since he took over the position a short time ago.

The meeting will be about updating the community on changes in the department, crime statistics, crime prevention and how the residents can become more involved.

The meeting is just one of several the Ann Arbor police chief has scheduled in Ann Arbor neighborhoods in the coming months.  Chief Baird plans to be on hand to speak and answer residents' questions at several upcoming neighborhood meetings between now and the end of June.
