Bike For Babies: An EMU Professor Bicycles 600 Miles To Help Fight A Deadly Disease

Kiwanis & CKI Bike for Babies: Eliminate MNT

An Eastern Michigan University professor is taking part in a 600 mile bicycle ride to help raise awareness for maternal/neonatal tetanus.

Ian Wojcik-Andrews started the ride last week in Indianapolis and made a stop at his home turf in Ypsilanti.

I took the opportunity to speak with him about his plan to ride from Indianapolis all the way to Toronto by June 23rd.

Wojcik-Andrews teaches several courses on children's literature at EMU and is one of two people making the journey.

Both he and his partner, Jeffrey Lawther, are two-time cancer survivors who wanted to give back.

You can follow their progress here.
