The Ride held its first informational meeting today at the United Way office in Ann Arbor to discuss big changes that are coming to the bus system.

May 1st is when most of the bus route numbers will change for The Ride.  In addition, bus service will be expanded in areas such as Jackson Road.  Denise Diggs-Taylor, who is the program director for the family homeless shelter Alpha House, says the expansion is desperately needed.  Currently, many families who receive help from the Alpha House have to walk a mile from a bus stop just to get to the shelter.
