The third annual Cinetopia International Film Festival will include a greater presence in Detroit. About 100 screenings will be split equally between Ann Arbor and Detroit for this year's festival which runs from June 4th through the 8th.
Cinetopia Founder Russ Collins says they are looking for shorts from Detroit area film-makers.
The complete line-up of films is still being developed. In connection with Cinetopia the University of Michigan will host a symposium on independent film maker John Sayles.
According to Collins screenings will be split evenly between Ann Arbor and Detroit this year with a variety of pop-up screenings, including movies on top of the Maynard Street Parking Structure.
